The LGEF is 24 years old this year and has matured into a highly informed and passionate organization that represents our children and our community well. LGEF wants every parent to know and understand the facts that threaten our schools. While LGEF is continuing to support lower class sizes again this year the Foundation is also staying true to its 24 year history and its mission to fund programs that our children would not otherwise have offered in school, such as music, science and art! Our children deserve to have a well-rounded, quality education. We will not allow Sacramento's lack of interest in adequately funding public school education impact our children!

Our goal this year is to reach 100% participation from our school families. Even if families cannot give the requested amount, we hope that every family will give something to this important fundraiser that benefits 100% of the students in LGUSD. Together we can help our children have a fair chance to compete with their peers across California and across America. Give them the quality education they deserve. After all, these are our children -- the future leaders of our community, our nation and our world.
